The Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) seeks responses from individuals and organisations to the Continuing Professional Development Framework (draft for consultation) developed by the QCT for implementation from 2009.
Responses will be collated and used in finalising the Framework. The Framework describes the role and importance of teacher engagement in continued professional development as part of the requirements for formal renewal of teacher registration. It provides an overview of the expectations for all registered teachers who meet recency of practice requirements and outlines processes for managing, recording and reporting CPD at the time of renewal of registration.
Representatives of employers, teacher unions, practising teachers, higher education institutions and parent bodies, through their membership of the Queensland College of Teachers Board and Professional Standards Committee were actively involved in the development of the Framework. These key stakeholders participated in focused discussions and debates about the purpose, principles and content of the Framework. The draft for consultation is the culmination of their deliberations and represents their agreed views.
The QCT has engaged a company called TNS to administer this on-line survey on its behalf. TNS will collate the survey data and provide a summary to the QCT.
We appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey. The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete and your answers will be kept in the strictest confidence.
By now, you should have read through the Draft CPD Framework found on the QCT website. Please click on the button below to go to the next page.
